PACE Running Club

Legal

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Andrei Bredikhin (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PACE Running Club mobile application (“PACE”, the “App”).

1Information we collect

Account information. When you register we collect your email address, a password, your display name, date of birth, and gender. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifiers those services return (and, where you allow it, your name and email).

Activity data. When you record a run or import a workout we collect route coordinates (GPS), distance, pace, duration, elevation, splits, and — where available — heart rate and running power.

Apple Health

Health data. With your explicit permission, PACE reads your workouts, running routes, heart rate, running power, steps, and walking + running distance from Apple Health so it can import runs you recorded with your Apple Watch or another app — for example, to draw each run on your map, add its distance to your weekly totals and leaderboard, and calculate your training zones and endurance level. PACE does not write any data to Apple Health. Health data is used solely to provide the App’s features. We never use Apple Health data for advertising, marketing, or data-mining, and we never sell it or share it with third parties for such purposes.

Health Connect (Android)

Health data. With your explicit permission, PACE reads your heart rate from Health Connect on Android. A run you record in PACE on an Android phone has no heart rate of its own, so if you wore a watch or chest strap, PACE reads only the heart rate recorded during that run’s own start-to-finish time window — from whichever app published it to Health Connect, such as Garmin Connect, Samsung Health, or Fitbit — to draw the run’s heart-rate chart and calculate its training zones. PACE does not write any data to Health Connect. Health data is used solely to provide the App’s features. We never use Health Connect data for advertising, marketing, or data-mining, and we never sell it or share it with third parties for such purposes.

You can review or withdraw this permission at any time in Health Connect → App permissions → Pace Running Club, or from your Android Settings. Withdrawing it stops all further reads immediately; PACE keeps working, and runs simply show no heart rate.

Location data. PACE accesses your location — including in the background, only while you have an active recording — to track your runs. Background location is used exclusively for run tracking and stops when the recording ends.

Motion data. PACE uses device motion to detect when you stop moving so your recorded distance stays accurate.

User content. Profile photos, voice cheers (audio recordings), posts, comments, and challenge activity are stored so they can be shown to you and, where you choose, to other users.

Push tokens. If you enable notifications, we store a push token to deliver them.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs. PACE does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

2How we use information

3How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that process data on our behalf:

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose data only if required by law or to protect our rights and users’ safety.

4User-generated content and safety

PACE includes social features. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. You can report content and block users from within the App. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate our Terms of Service.

5Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the App. Some records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security purposes, then deleted.

Health data specifically. We do not keep a separate mirror of your Apple Health or Health Connect data. We read only the samples that fall inside a run’s own start-to-finish window, and we store them as part of that run — nothing else is copied out. Those samples are deleted when you delete the run, and all of them are deleted when you delete your account. Withdrawing the health permission stops all further reads immediately, and you can do that at any time without deleting anything: on Android in Health Connect → App permissions → Pace Running Club, on iOS in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → PACE.

6Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at avbredihin@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

7Children

PACE is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child provided us data, contact avbredihin@gmail.com and we will delete it.

8Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. Your data is encrypted at rest in our hosted database and file storage. Access is restricted to your own authenticated account: requests are authorised with a short-lived token tied to your user, and administrative access to production systems is limited to the App’s operator. We follow secure development practices, keep our dependencies patched, and fix reported vulnerabilities. Health data receives the same protection as the rest of your account data and is never processed for advertising, profiling, or resale. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. To report a security issue, email avbredihin@gmail.com.

9International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notified in the App.
